AIA Basketball Team to Moldova

On June 10th the AIA Basketball team will meet in Xenia, OH to prepare for our 2 week missions trip to Moldova.  Moldova is inbetween Romania and Ukraine and was a part of the USSR.  Our team to Moldova will be coached by the Grove City College head Coach Steve Lamie and will consist of 9 collegiate level players.  Our team is being welcomed by the Moldova Basketball Federation and may have an opportunity to play the Moldova National team. Regardless we will play 8 games against local club teams and run a sports camp that will provide a week of excitement for 400 plus youth.

The AIA story in Moldova indirectly began in 1967 with the first ever AIA basketball team.  Tom Schoeneck, now a pastor, was on that team.  He taught at a Bible Seminary in Moldova in 1999 and met Nick who launched AIA ministry.  Out of 75 countries in which AIA has a ministry presence, Moldova has become the fourth largest in just a few years of existence.

    To the Moldovan Team,

We (along with all of Zachary's supporters) are covering your team and staff with prayer as our son prepares to head for the airport to leave California for Ohio in about 6 hours.

God's richest blessings on all of you with "BEAUTIFUL FEET" (even in those large basketball shoes.) May His Name be lifted up to everyone who comes into contact with your individual and collective team members.

We'll post you after the 3 guys from Orange County take off (Daniel, Jon and Zach.)

May hearts be changed for Jesus! Psalm 40:3

    GO AIA MOLDOVAN TEAM/GO LAKERS!

    The Brogdons
