A result from our Hunter Smith (Indianapolis Colts punter) outreach was encouraging. One of our interns, Chasity, decided to give a CD of Hunter's band, Connersvine, to her brother. She had tried to share the gospel with him over the Christmas break and things did not go well. In fact, it ended in a fight. After going to the outreach, she decided to give him the CD. After listening to the song, "Live for You," her brother asked Chasity what the song meant. She was able to explain the meaning and share the gospel again, resulting in her brother indicating a decision for Christ! - ERIC K., Campus, Ball State University
I love stepping out of bed each morning with the hope and prayer that a life would be changed, either my life or a life that I come in touch with. This spring, I've had the opportunity to watch a young man literally become a new creation from the inside out! His name is Aaron. He's a sophomore at Wilmington , and a captain for the soccer team, playing goalie. About two months ago, Aaron attended an Alcohol Awareness seminar for student-athletes and God used it to shake him! He became determined to "clean up" his life, but at first it was merely a "clean up", that is, addressing the symptoms and not the disease (his heart and not having a relationship with Christ). After meeting for several weeks, we met before Aaron's trip to Italy for spring break, and we talked about hedges. I asked Aaron what hedges were impeding or blocking his view of the cross, and ultimately Christ. In other words, what things in his life kept him from running to the cross and asking Christ to come in and perform the change that only Jesus can? He gave reasons, and we talked through them. I released the situation into God's hands, and prayed that God would show up in Italy! God did just that. As Aaron walked the streets of Rome and saw the sights, he was more intrigued by a small English Standard Version of the Bible I had given him. The day he arrived home, Aaron called and left a message that simply said, "Hey Zach, the trip was great, and the hedges are gone." Praise God! Please pray for Aaron and a fellow teammate, Marty. The soccer team at Wilmington College has traditionally been the hardest team to work with, but God is breaking the hard soil. Please pray for the team! - ZACH H., Campus, Wilmington College, Central State & Wilberforce Universities
I met with John, a freshman soccer player, and shared Christ with him. He indicated praying a similar prayer earlier in his life. Knowing he had not really met with anyone on a consistent basis, I figured his foundation was a bit rocky. I suggested we meet the next week to have some further spiritual conversations. As we talked about confidence in the Lord, I noticed the bracelet he was wearing said, "CONFIDENCE." I just chuckled to myself and thought, "Lord, you're amazing!" I asked John what his bracelet meant to him and he said, "Having confidence in my abilities and knowing that people can rely on me to get something done." As I turned to various scriptures about how God reveals Himself to us, I asked John if we could have confidence in God showing up to do what He says He will if we are a child of His through repentance. He replied, "I can have confidence in the Lord and this makes me want to share the news with others." I am overwhelmed at the opportunities just like this one where one has prayed the prayer but just doesn't really understand who they are in Christ.

PATH PARTY 2007-(written by Caitlin Augustus, senior hitter on Wittenberg 's volleyball team). On the last day of classes this year at Wittenberg, some of my teammates and I gathered together at my parents' pond for our first ever "Path Party." Hannah and I felt that it would be a really cool thing if we (the volleyball girls) could get together and just talk. We wanted to open the door for real talk about real things that go much deeper the hours of volleyball practice and road trips. I wanted our team to have the chance to get to know each other on another level, one that goes much further than our four years at Wittenberg . With a fire, some hot dogs and a lot of s'mores, eleven of my friends and I hung out on a Wednesday evening and shared little bits of our lives with each other. The idea of the "Path Party" was to share the path we've been on this year and the path we see ourselves on next year. I was amazed by the truth that my friends were willing to share about their struggles in their faith in God and their hope in God. The "Path Party" was encouraging to us Christians, as we heard where our friends are going and how God has been working in them this year. We all realized that we want the same path, one that leads us to heaven and hope-it's just a matter of working through our own individual detours. Because it allowed my teammates and me to grow a little closer by knowing each other in a real way, I loved every minute of the "Path Party." I'm really looking forward to seeing where our paths lead us in the next few years. "Now you've got my feet on the life path, all radiant from the shining of your face. Ever since you took my hand, I'm on the right way" (Psalm 16:11, The Message ). - HANNAH D., Campus, Wittenberg University
This month I have seen God's provision. I am taking a step of faith by going overseas and leaving behind an amazing ministry at Wisconsin. God has worked in such a way that my intern has decided to stay another year and another intern is coming too. I see that sometimes we need to follow God so that He can challenge and move in other new ways. I also am seeing God provide for my finances, as I have to raise an additional $10,000 for STINT. - JOY S., Campus, University of Wisconsin-Madison
