Spotlight: Terri Bullman

Terri Bullman has served with Athletes in Action for 3 ½ years as both the Event Coordinator and Director of Marketing for the Conference and Retreat Center . Originally from Springboro, Ohio, she previously worked at the University of Dayton for 23 years. She is married to Bruce and they have two daughters-Amanda, 24, and Andrea, 19.

What does your role at AIA look like on a regular basis?
Currently, I direct the day-to-day operations of the Conference and Retreat Center as well as assist the Sports Complex Specialists as we begin the newest endeavor of operating the Sports Complex in Xenia.

What is the mission of the AIA Conference and Retreat Center?
The mission of the Conference and Retreat Center is to provide every guest who stays on our campus a quality visit, from the initial contact until they pull away from our campus after their stay. Our intention is to show them Christ in us by the way we provide service to them-with a cheerful heart and willingness to accommodate their needs.

What is your favorite aspect of your job?
The challenge of the day-to-day operations. No two days are the same. To see how God has moved in miraculous ways to allow the Conference and Retreat Center to operate in the way it does overwhelms me with such emotion there are days I just cry when I think of His sovereignty and power. The same is happening with the Sports Complex. He is providing just the right staff to create a perfect team of players to move this operation to the next level. It just keeps me in "awe" when I think about what has been accomplished in just the 3 ½ years I have been here.

Describe your dream vacation.
My dream vacation would be with my family in a villa in Aruba. Doesn't that sound incredible??? I just love the beach, water and sun. As a family, we have spent 17 of the last 19 years in Myrtle Beach for vacation. We are all beach bums so Aruba would be the ultimate for me.

What do you love most about being Bruce's wife and the mother of your daughters?
The thing I love the most about being married to Bruce is that I have been blessed to be able to be married to my best friend. We, as all couples do, had growing pains in the beginning, mostly because we "grew-up" together. We were young when we married, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. It taught us to depend on and trust each other in ways that may not have happened had we matured separately. He also led me to the Lord. He is a wonderful man of God, husband and dad. And our two girls have been my world. They are very different, much like night and day, but the differences they share have made our world exciting and challenging. I am now anxiously awaiting to see who God will bring into their lives as husbands and the time when I can sit in a rocking chair on my log cabin house porch overlooking the lake rocking my grandbabies.
