Athletes in Action sports ministry reaching people for Christ Athletes in Action Mission: One World - One Language - One Message

In SportLINC, we mentor and resource college student-athletes. We help them mature in Christ and lead movements of evangelism and discipleship among the athletes on their campuses. These movements are led by a local key volunteer (usually a student-athlete) and are coached from a distance by AIA staff. The principle point of contact is a weekly telephone appointment, but key volunteers also receive communication via e-mail and possibly an occasional staff visit.

Who can be a SportLINC key volunteer? There are five qualities we are looking for in a prospective key volunteer:

  • A strong walk with the Lord;
  • A desire to lead a movement of evangelism and discipleship among athletes;
  • A willingness to take steps of faith and be an initiator;
  • A teachable attitude and a willingness to be accountable to his or her SportLINC consultant;
  • Sufficient time and energy available for ministry activities.

Please tell us your name, campus, phone number, and when would be a good time during the day for us to call you for a telephone interview.

SportLINC also offers a second level of service called "SportLINC Connection". In this program you would not receive the personalized mentoring of a consultant, but you would receive weekly e-mail giving you encouragement and ideas in athletic ministry. Of course, we would also be available by e-mail or our toll-free phone line to answer any questions you may have regarding ministry to athletes on your campus. To apply for SportLINC Connection contact us by phone at 1-888-808-LINC or e-mail at sportlinc@aia.com.
