3-4 King Oyster Mushrooms
3-4 tbsp School of Wok’s Turmeric & Ginger Marinade
1 tbsp avocado oil or vegetable oil
Slice the mushrooms lengthwise in half and carefully score the inside of the mushrooms in a crisscross pattern to allow the marinade to sink into the meat of the mushrooms. Spoon the marinade over the inside of each of the mushrooms and massage well into the them. Once ready to cook, heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil or avocado oil pan fry inside of the mushrooms down and sear well, pushing into the mushrooms gently with a spatula to gain a good golden brown colour around the edges. Cook for 4-5 minutes until golden brown, turn once and fry the other side for a further 3-4 minutes.
To serve: with a side of salad, some fresh bread or steamed rice.
